The Shows
The Society organises three shows each year in the Spring, Summer and Autumn at which our members display their produce and are judged in various categories and classes, one of which is cooking. The competition at these events is keenly fought and rewarded by Cups, Medals and Certificates of Merit. This competiveness does not affect the friendly nature and atmosphere of the shows. The Tenterden Challenge Trophy, now in it’s 15th. Year, is sponsored by our Society to promote friendly competition between local Societies. It is composed of three elements: A collection of 6 fruit and vegetables: A floral art display: An item of cooking. This takes place during the autumn show with the winner hosting the Challenge the following year and as we won the Trophy this year we will be hosting the Tenterden Challenge Trophy as part of our Autumn show.
